Meet Loki! This “god of mischief” has a fitting name as he is the sweetest boy with the cutest expressive face, and can occasionally be a bit mischievous!  He was born on October 25,2021 and is ready to find his forever family!

Loki came to SPIN when he was just five weeks old, due to his mom being too ill to care for him. Loki quietly figured out his new foster family’s routine and became the cuddliest puppy!  He is quiet, calm, and loving.

When he’s playing, he is full-on puppy!  His whole back-end wiggles when he wags his tail.

He gets along with every human and animal he encounters. He is playful and loving with kids and cats, too.

He prefers to spend the day indoors relaxing in a dog bed with short visits outside for play and potty breaks. He loves a comfy couch with people and dogs nearby; if they will cuddle with him, that’s even better.

Loki is a smart pup that responds to “no” and understands “outside.” He is working on “sit.” He has been known to put his paws on the kitchen counter, so we are working on stopping that behavior (see, we told you he’s a bit mischievous).  His sweet face says “I’m sorry,” but his puppy impulse wants to check out what’s going on up there.

Loki is crate trained and potty trained.  He rides well in a car.  He loves playing with toys such as Kongs or teething toys. He loves to snuggle with a soft plush toy or blanket. He hasn’t had much practice on a leash, but could learn quickly.

Loki must have a large, playful canine companion in his forever home.  This buddy will show him how to be the best dog.  He is a follower, so a confident mentor dog is a must.   If you don’t already have a suitable companion for him, adopt one from us!  This buddy will be key to helping him continue growing into a wonderful, delightful family member.

Loki is a smooth coat Pyrenees mix with a badger face. He will likely weigh around 80 pounds or more when he is full-grown.

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
