Meet Hank! This handsome sweetie pie was born around September 2021. At seven months old, he weighed 50 pounds. We expect he’ll be around 90 pounds when he reaches adulthood.
Hank is a happy, goofy pup. He loves meeting new people and gets excited about following his foster mom around the yard. He likes to gather all of his toys and bring them to his bed. He also likes to move his blanket around the house.
Hank is so easy to have around. He will sit for treats and roll over on his back when he is feeling submissive. He does not get on furniture. He likes keeping busy with a chew toy, and he likes lounging outside.
Baby Hank loves being with his big foster doggy friends, and he needs a large, playful canine companion in his forever home. This buddy will help him continue learning how to be a wonderful family member.
We think he would be okay in a house with cats. He would just need a cautious introduction so he knows they are welcome in the house.
He would do best in a home without small children or anyone who can easily be knocked over, because he sometimes gets excited and jumps on people. His foster mom is working with him on this, but sometimes his puppy joy takes over his manners.
He is crate trained. He stays compliantly in his crate while his foster mom is at work for up to five hours a day, and he sleeps in his crate at night.
He barks when he hears a strange noise or if he sees a squirrel.
He is perfecting his leash manners.
He likes riding in a car and enjoys watching out the back window.
Sweet Hank will be an amazing addition to his new forever family.
OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI0
