Meet Hank!  He is a big, sweet, gentle boy around 5-6 years old.  At 94 pounds, he is Pyrfectly fit.  He wants to be your lap dog!

Handsome Hank was 20 pounds underweight, filthy, and sad when we first met him.  In his foster home, he got a good washing, regular meals, human TLC, and doggy company.  What a difference!  He quickly showed what a wonderful, mellow, loving boy he is.

Hank is so endearing.  He loves to be loved on.  He likes to lean on you and have you hold the side of his head as you walk in the house.  He loves meeting new people and approaching anyone who is willing to pet him.

He is really good at being calm.  You should see his stretching Upward-Facing Dog yoga pose.  Really!

He enjoys lying outside by the pool on cool mornings.  He relishes lying on cool flooring so much that he will ask you go around if he happens to be in your path.

Hank is good with other dogs.  He would probably be happiest if he has another large-to-medium doggy companion in his forever home.

Mr. Perfect is fully house trained.  He asks to go outside by giving a gentle scratch at the door.

He is very good on leash and looks forward to his morning walk.  He responds to "leave it" when other dogs are in the area or when the usual bunny or squirrel appears.

He responds to "no" and "come" (with typical Pyr slowness, of course).

He is very tolerant of others dogs near at his food bowl at mealtime.  When eating, he sometimes likes to tip over his bowl and eat his kibble from the floor! He has a gentle mouth and takes treats with care.

Hank does not tolerate being crated or confined in a room; he will be destructive and possibly hurt himself in that case.  He can be trusted to be left loose in the house on his own.

He rarely barks prefers to howl which is quite rare but enjoyable!

He is good with older children.  We haven’t seen him around babies or toddlers.

We don’t know how he is around cats, but can find out if needed.

Hank will be an amazing treasure to his forever family.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
