Meet Carmen!  She is a shy, loving, playful Great Pyrenees who is around three years old.  She was found as a stray hanging around a tire shop and spent some time at the shelter before coming to SPIN.  She currently weighs 60 pounds and could gain a few pounds more.

Carmen is shy around new people but quickly warms up and nuzzles her head into your lap for more pets. She is mostly independent but happy to come over if you call her name, and she wants to sleep in your bedroom at night. She does well with big kids but we have not seen her with young children.

Carmen loves other dogs and does well with cats. She loves to play chase and hops around the other large dog in her foster home. Carmen would love another big playful dog in her forever home.

Carmen loves toys, dog beds, and belly rubs. She is very observant and knows “sit”’

She loves going on walks and car rides. She pulls hard on the leash due to excitement and is working on pulling less with her foster parents.

Carmen is house trained. She does well through the night and when left alone. Like a typical Pyrenees, she takes pride in watching out the windows and walking the perimeter. She occasionally barks.

Due to a food sensitivity, Carmen does best on a chicken-free grain-free diet.

Carmen is a sweet and beautiful girl filled with personality.  She is going to be a wonderful addition to someone’s family.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
