OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI
Meet Milano! She a regal girl with a beautiful old soul. Born on March 31, 2021 weighing 1.9 pounds, we expect her adult weight to be a whopping 125 pounds! She is already solid muscle. Her DNA test revealed that she is a mix of primarily Great Pyrenees and Great Dane!
Milano is available exclusively to adopters in the Dallas/Fort Worth area due to the delay of her spay until at least October 2021.*
Also known as Millie, she is a very loving pup who enjoys snuggling up in your lap for plenty pets and kisses.
She is contemplative and thoughtful. She observes her surroundings and decides when she’s ready to interact. She looks you right in your eyes and sums you up!
Millie is also very bold and loves to investigate the yard and pool. She loves splashing in the shallow end of the pool and lounging on the tanning deck. Another favorite is to sunbathe on lounge chairs. She looks like she’s lounging on the Riviera!
She has a beautiful Dane face! She is stunning with her velvet black smooth coat and white blaze on her forehead, white blaze on her chest, white socks with black polka dots, and a few white hairs on the very tip of her tail!
Her nature is very laid back; however, she’s is a dominant female and will put other dogs in their place if they cross her. Her forever home must have another large, playful doggie companion to play with her and keep her company. She would do best with a male dog. This buddy will help her continue growing into a wonderful, well-adjusted family member.
Miss Milano’s house training is in progress. She is crate trained, rides nicely in a car, and is not very vocal.
She is playful, silly, and likes toys.
She is good with kids and cats.
Millie is going to be a large, majestic girl who you’ll love having as part of your family.
*Medical note: Millie has a slight physical condition which necessitates her spay being delayed until she is at least six months old. This will give her body and hormones time to correct the issue naturally without human intervention. It is expected that she will grow into her body and have a happy, healthy life. As she grows, she will be on supplements and sanitary wipes to help avoid urinary tract infections. Millie is already showing signs of improvement to her veterinary staff and foster family.
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
