Meet Brutus!  This gentle, handsome boy was born around January 2020.  Weighing 70-75 pounds, he is fully grown and pint-sized for a Great Pyrenees.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2boDB7LLhSs

Beautiful Brutus is a little shy when meeting new people, and he takes to women quicker than men.  Once he warms up, he is very loving and enjoys being petted.

Upon first coming into rescue, Brutus was a little unsure of his new living arrangement.  He took comfort in hanging out in his crate most of the time.  Within a few days, he started venturing out to explore other areas of the home and take naps in the guest bedroom.  He also began feeling comfortable in the backyard while out to potty.

Bru-Bru might do best if he lives with another large, sweet dog.  This buddy could help him adjust quicker to his new forever home.  He had playful moments in his former home, so we are excited to see his joyful side.

He cannot live with cats, chickens, or other small animals!

He is house trained, crate trained, and does well in a car.  He is good on leash for the most part and just needs a little more practice.  He hasn’t shown that he is much of a barker, but that could change as he becomes more relaxed.

This sweetheart needs a home with people who understand his apprehension, and are willing to give him the time he needs to start feeling comfortable with them and acclimate to his new surroundings.

Because he is unsure of new people, babies and children might make him nervous.  He needs to be with people who know how to slowly approach him so he doesn’t feel the need to shy away.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
