Meet FredEx, the world-famous pooch porch pirate!  He was caught on home surveillance when he stealthy took a package from their porch and happily carried it off into the woods.  His video has been seen around the globe!

Here is his news story.  https://cw33.com/morning-after/watch-the-north-texas-doggy-porch-pirate-that-went-viral-has-been-caught-now-hes-off-to-a-forever-home/

And a big thank you to Duck Team 6 for helping get him off the streets.  https://www.facebook.com/DuckTeam6/posts/3989106221158749

Freddie is a total sweetheart.  Born around May 2018, he is near his ideal weight of 90 pounds.  He is so handsome, has a wonderfully thick coat, and a great smile.

He is very shy of new people.  It will take him some time to warm up to you and not be afraid.  His new family will need to be very patient with him when he first comes in to the home.

They should know the Rule of 3s:
 - In the first 3 days, he might feel overwhelmed, afraid, quiet, not hungry or thirsty.  He might want to hide under a table or in a crate.
 - After 3 weeks, he should start settling in, learning the family routine, feeling more comfortable, start showing his true personality.
 - After 3 months, he will likely be completely comfortable and secure with his new home and family, and will begin building trust and a bond.

FredEx loves treats and will gently take them from you.  Now that he has been rescued, he is quite happy to be inside the house.  He loves to lay on tile, often using a stair as a pillow.  And he is super-cute lounging on a couch.

He is fine around other dogs.  He doesn’t pay much attention to them and seems to enjoy their company.  He is starting to show signs of wanting to play with the other dogs in his foster home.

Freddie learns quickly and is already house trained.  He lets you know when he needs to go outside to potty.

He rides well in a car once you get him in it.  He is learning about the leash and needs more practice with it.  He is not much of a barker.

He has not yet shown any interest in toys – not even a cardboard box.

FredEx will be an amazing, loving companion for gentle, compassionate family.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
