OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI

Meet Chevy!  Born around February 2021, he’s a Great Pyrenees mix.  His wonderful ears have just started to stand straight up!  Because he also has such large paws, we think he will be a big fellow when he’s all grown, around 90 pounds.

Chevy loves people and he loves to be loved on!  He likes when you play with him and pet him.  He is great with children and is very sweet with the two-year-old child in his foster home.  He loves cuddling with children for little naps.  And he loves to calmly chill on the porch.

Chevy is a happy boy.  He loves playing, running, romping, and exploring outside.  He loves splashing and wading in ponds, kiddie pools, and puddles.  He plays hard and crashes hard!

He really enjoys playing with other dogs, big and small.  He needs a big, playful doggie companion in his forever home.

Chevy is doing great with crate training.  He knows how to shake a paw.  He is amazing off leash or on leash.  And he is doing great with house training as well.

He is not very vocal.  He barks sometimes, and he likes to cutely “talk” to you a little.

He is nice to housecats.

Chevy is such a sweet boy.  He will be a wonderful companion dog.  He hopes for an active family who will include him on vacations, hikes, biking, and outings to the park.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
