Meet Bob! He is a sweet boy who came to us from Oklahoma. He insists he's a lap dog! Born about February 2018, Bob is on the smallish side, about 70 pounds. That's small for a male Pyr.

He loves people and dogs, and loves to play. He walks well on a leash and loves to ride in the car.

Bob gets very excited about food, which has made him very easy to crate train (although he doesn’t like it because he’s separated from the rest of the house). However, his enthusiasm necessitates him being fed away from other dogs.

Bob will spend hours outside playing with the dogs in his foster home if allowed, and wants to hang close to his person inside. He sleeps next to his foster mom’s bed, but really wants to be on it! Bob definitely likes couches.

He also likes to chew, so his new home will need acceptable toys for him. Because his enthusiasm will occasionally prompt him to jump, and his “Pyr paw” can be a bit hard, Bob is probably not a good fit with small children, who could get hurt.

He has not been tested with cats.

Bob is very loving and can learn a few tricks, given his person’s patience and willingness to use treats (don’t expect TOO much; he IS a Pyr!)

If you’re looking for an eager, active boy you can take places, Bob may just be the Big Ole Boy for you!

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
