OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI

Meet Scarlett!  This beautiful, snuggly pup has eyes that will melt your heart!  Born around August 2020, she has a playful and loving personality.

Scarlett was found as a stray, hiding all alone in the corner of someone’s yard.  She was so scared.  She wouldn’t let anyone near her.  That first night, all we could do was clear out an area near her hiding spot to protect her from the current rainfall.

The second day, a young rescuer in our group was finally able to touch her.  But we had to use a trap to catch her and take her to her new foster home.  But once she got her there, she immediately turned into a love bug, like immediately!

Scarlett is such a wonderful girl!  She’ll lick your face and cuddle with you on the couch.  She thinks she is a lap dog!  If she comes up to you for pets, she adorably wants to climb up into your lap.

Scarlett loves playing with other dogs.  As she transitions into adulthood, she needs a dog buddy that will want to play with her and that is tolerant of her current puppy ways.

She would do fine in a home with younger children, but probably not toddlers who she could accidently knock down.  She needs a home where people are there most of the time and she is not left alone for longs periods of time to get into trouble.  She has been left alone with her foster dog buddies for short periods and has done fine.

She likes cats.  She wants desperately to play with the cat in her foster home, but he just looks at her like she’s annoying.

Sweet Scarlett is fully house trained.  She has not been crate trained, because she has no need for one.  She is working on her leash training; she does best when her other dog friends come along for the adventure.  She will sit on command, especially if you are holding a treat!

She is not food aggressive and she is not a counter surfer.

She likes her chew toys!  And she loves to tear stuffing out of dog beds!  Very rarely will she try chewing on wood furniture.

She has good manners while riding in a car, but as she completes her puppy phase, it is best to have someone besides the driver with her.

Scarlett is ready to be someone’s amazing forever friend.
