OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI
Beethoven is a big, friendly pup. Born around March 2020, he weighed 80 pounds at six-months of age, and he should easily reach more than 100 as an adult.
His mom and dad were a Great Pyrenees and an Anatolian Shepherd. His striking tri-color markings could indicate some surprises in his genetic background, but we think you'll agree he is one-of-a-kind.
Don't let his enormous size fool you! He's very much a silly, playful puppy and is quickly learning how to be a well-mannered, grown doggo. He is fully house trained, is practicing his leash manners, is crate trained, and rides nicely in a car.
Beethoven is very intelligent, loves humans, gets along with cats, and sometimes forgets he isn't a lap puppy! He will seriously climb up onto you and try to sit on your shoulder when you’re on the couch! He must think he’s a little shih tzu! Because he underestimates his size and power, there shouldn’t be any small children under age 8 or so in his forever home.
He must have a big, playful canine brother or sister in his forever home to show him the ropes. (If you don’t already have a big play buddy for him, adopt one from us!)
His adopter should be an experienced dog owner due to Beethoven’s size and puppy exuberance.
Beethoven is eager to please, sweet of disposition, and is settling into his foster home nicely. He is truly a special dog.
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
