OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI

Meet Chloe!  This beautiful puppy with classic majestic Great Pyrenees features was born around May 2020.  Watch her play with her foster dog mentor in this brief video.  https://youtu.be/8kcA2khwVbU

Chloe is shy little girl who needs help gaining confidence.  When first coming into foster care, she would hide under the bed from everyone.  She would allow being petted under certain conditions, such as when her foster mom was doling out affection to the rest of the doggy pack.

Chloe is gradually becoming braver as the days go by.  She follows her foster mom around the yard.

Baby Chloe loves playing with other dogs!  She is very cuddly with them, too.  She needs a large, playful doggy companion in her forever home.  (If you don’t already have a suitable canine buddy for her, adopt one from us!)

She is super cute playing with Kong toys and bone treats with peanut butter.

Chloe is crate trained; she will go in and wait for a treat as her reward!  She rides nicely in a car, laying down quietly.  She is learning very quickly and is almost finished with her house training.

She hasn’t had any leash training yet.  So far, she hasn’t chosen to use her voice, so it might be a few weeks before we hear her bark.  Bonus:  she hasn’t yet chosen to dig in the yard!

We don’t know how she is with house cats.  She doesn’t have a prey drive, so she could probably live harmoniously with cats after proper introductions.

Chloe needs a patient adopter who will continue to lovingly build her trust.  She needs a calm household.  Right now, she hides from children, so kids in the home need to be mature enough to help maintain a nurturing environment for her.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
