Hi, I'm Frank! I'm looking for a nice, quiet retirement home with friendly, loving people.

I'm about eight years old [born around July 2012], and the last couple of years have not been kind to me. I was found as a stray in Collin County, and the good folks at SPIN decided to take care of me. Boy, am I ever grateful!

My favorite dogter lady says I haven't had anyone caring for me for over a year, maybe two.  I came to SPIN super skinny with not a lot of hair, but my foster mom and the dogtor lady have been taking good care of me.  Almost all of my hair has grown back, and I've gained some pounds.  I may not ever be very heavy again, but I'm getting healthy at 85 pounds.

Because I'm so grateful to be rescued, I love to be around people who will pet me, and pet me, and pet me!

I get along with dogs big and small and probably wouldn't worry a cat much (but watch out squirrels!).  I'm slowly starting to remember how to play, and I like it!  But I'm also happy to lay in the big bed in front of the fireplace and snooze.

I'm not much for getting in the car, but I travel well once I'm in. I'm pretty good on a leash, and I enjoy going places with my human.

I like tearing up the occasional toy, and sometimes things I'm not supposed to (oops!). My forever home won't hold that against me because they know I was on my own for so long, I sometimes don't know what's acceptable to eat and what's not.

I'd really love a home with one or more humans that will adore me as much as I adore them – a home that's not too busy or loud.  Kids would be okay if they remember that I'm not a young pup any more.

Will you be that soft place for me to land in my twilight years?

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
