Meet Amy! This beautiful cuddle bug was born around March 2017. She’s at her ideal weight of 75-80 pounds.
Prior to being rescued, Amy was seen dodging traffic. A good Samaritan saved her from certain peril. When SPIN got her, Amy was carrying a surprise – puppies! While in foster care, she gave birth to six healthy, gorgeous puppies. She was a great mom, and now she’s ready to hang up her mom hat and just be a dog again.
Amy has two modes – cuddle bug and play!
She is very friendly to all people and she is sweet with kids. She wants nothing more than to snuggle with her humans. She’ll sit in your lap if you allow it. Or if you’d rather, she’ll lay on your feet to keep them warm.
When she’s feeling spunky, she jumps on people sometimes. Because of this, she might do best if children in the house are older than age four.
She would be fine as an only dog, but she would definitely have fun if she lived with another playful dog. She gets along nicely with male and female dogs. And she’s nice to cats!
Amy is house trained, crate trained, and rides nicely in a car. She needs more practice walking on leash - she’s been busy raising babies and avoiding covid.
Sweet Amy really is a dream. She is such a great, loving girl with soulful eyes. Someone will hit the doggie lotto with her, as she is just the sweetest and easiest girl!
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
