OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

NORM!  His name is his description.  He’s that great guy at the end of the bar who’s everybody’s friend.  He’s a great big lug.  

It’s hard to just say “Norm.”  It’s usually NORM!  Or Normy, or Ginormous Norm, or Norm the Ginormous Hippo because he looked like a baby hippo at birth.

Born on April 13, 2020, Norm was born to SPIN mamma, Amy, who came into rescue with a surprise for all of us!  She was soon to give birth to the most gorgeous litter of pups.  He’s the first and largest of the six.  Weighing 38 pounds at 12 weeks of age, he’ll likely be 85 pounds or more as an adult.

Norm has big bulky lumber jack legs that have lots of room for growth.  He’s a gentle guy in a big body and just doesn’t know what to do with all that extra skin.  He has beautiful clear blue eyes that will cut straight through to your heart.

His foster mom had a test run on Norm’s DNA, and the results show that he is a fabulous mix of 50% Great Pyrenees, 12.5% Alaskan Malamute, 12.5% Labrador Retriever, and 25% Herding group.

He loves kisses, pets and snuggles.  He’s got no idea how large he is!  

Norm is doing very well working on manners, housebreaking, leash training, and crate training.  He just wants you to be happy!  He’s very quick to sit for a cookie, although his whole body is quivering for that bite!

Norm knows his name and comes when called, unless he doesn’t want to.  

He enjoys all toys and chews and is really interested in the family cat.

He has a great time chasing the laser light with his giant clomp-clommpy feet.  He likes water and plays in the hose and sprinkler.  He’s been in the pool, and rather than swimming, he prefers playing on the tanning shelf, splashing and pouncing in the water!

Norm needs to have a big, playful doggy companion in his forever home.  (If you don’t already have one of those, adopt a buddy for him from us!)    This way, Norm will continue maturing into an amazing, loving family member.  It takes practice from the companionship with an emotionally well-balanced dog for a Pyr pup to learn proper dog-to-dog manners.
 
He also needs a person who is home much of the day while he gets through his puppy phase.
Norm is an amazing pup with a lot of love to share.  He’s going to be a great big fluffy guy who’ll enjoy your hugs for years to come.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
