OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI
Meet Doyle! This charming, loving pumpkin is such a hoot! Born around January 2020, he will be good-sized when he finishes growing, probably weighing 100 pounds.
When still in the shelter, baby Doyle became very depressed, moaning sadly most of the day. He had given himself deep scratches on the forehead from trying to escape the kennel. He was cautious of strangers. As soon as SPIN learned about him, they got him into a foster home right away.
There, he showed his foster mom that he is a total sweetheart. As she gently treated his scratches and removed small burrs from his fur, he calmly laid on the floor and let her work on him.
Knowing that he was in loving care, Doyle regained his natural joy. He is starting showing his true, fun personality. Now he loves meeting new people. He really works the crowd! He likes always being around his people and enjoys supervises you as you cook.
Doyle very talkative! He is constantly talking and seems to have something to say. Can you imagine your conversations? He is just hilarious! He says, “Rarra, rrra, hmmmm, hmm, hmm.”
He barks with his furry foster siblings as he tries to get them to play with. And he has a very deep bark for such a little puppy. He sweetly lays beside senior dogs who have no interest in playing.
In his forever home, Doyle needs a large, playful canine companion to assist him in continuing to learn proper dog manners. This will help him grow into a well-rounded, polite adult dog that is delight to have as a family member.
For now, Doyle is probably not be suited to having toddlers in the home, because he is still very mouthy – he doesn’t yet understand that human skin is very sensitive. He will get your nose if you’re not careful! His foster mom is working on getting him to stop play-biting.
He potty trained really easily, and he has learned to enjoy getting up on soft couches and recliners.
This enchanting pup is ready for an amazing forever home.
