Have you heard of Clifford, the big red dog?  Meet Jake, his long lost Pyr cousin!  He is easy-going and pure love.  This big boy was born about April 2017, and is thin at 110 pounds!

Found as a stray, Jake is such a sweet, good-natured boy who wants to hang out with his two-legged and four-legged friends.  He is calm, well behaved, and friendly.  He spends most of the day napping near his foster mom or dad as they work from home.

Jake loves playing with other dogs in his foster home.  He is good with most dogs of all sizes, but does not like some male dogs.  Several times a day, he and his terrier foster brother run around playing like crazy, then they will crash for a well-earned nap!

He enjoys dog beds, but is just as happy on a cool tile floor.  He loves getting scratches behind his ears and a good belly rub.  When this precious baby leans his body against you, or lays his big head on your lap, you feel his enormous capacity for love!

He has not yet met a meal he was not interested in, and may counter surf when your back is turned!

Jake walks well on a leash and rides well, once you convince him to get in the car.  He is potty trained, crate trained, and working on his basic commands.

He is not much for toys but enjoys chewing on a good bone.

Jake hasn’t been too vocal in his foster home, but on the rare occasion that he does bark, he’s got an impressive baritone that will surely ward off any unwanted visitors…or squirrels!

He has not been tested with cats.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
