OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI
Meet Max! In this brief video, you can see how sweetly he converses with his humans. https://youtu.be/NqSSOMI1HsQ
This talkative little doll puppy was found as a stray. He has the cutest little brown leopard spots on his muzzle! Born around January 2020, he is a good-sized boy, and will likely weigh around 95 pounds when he’s all grown up.
Baby Max really likes to carry on conversations with people and dogs! He will yip to let you know when you are too slow fixing his dinner! He whimpers to let you know he needs to go outside to potty. He answers the neighborhood dogs if they are barking. If adult dogs in the house bark at him, he answers them right back.
Max loves playing with Kong toys, soft plushy toys, and squeaky toys. His favorite toy is his one-year old male Pyr housemate! He also likes to be around the two female dogs (German Shepherd and Lab) in his foster home. Max must have a large, playful canine companion in his forever home.
He sweetly loves sleeping next to your bed at night. So far, he hasn’t shown any interest in getting on furniture.
Max is leash trained. He will sit for treats. He is house trained and still needs frequent potty breaks as he grows through his puppy stage. While he is not a fan of the crate, he can be convinced to go in when offered peanut butter on a bone!
He is fine with housecats and generally ignores them.
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
