OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI

Meet Tyson, the heartbreaker! Born around Christmas 2019, Tyson weighed 30 pounds at 15 weeks of age, and is averaging a 2-3 pound gain a week. He’s lanky and lean with a round puppy belly that he loves getting scratched.

His shorter, soft coat is white and cream, and after he’s painted his paws black with mud, he’ll patiently let you wash them in a bucket or wipe them down with a towel. In fact, as long as you’re holding him, he’ll let you do anything. In his human’s arms is his favorite place to be! He’ll just lean into the crook of your neck and fall asleep if you let him.

Tyson is one smart cookie! He knows “sit,” will “stay” for food until you set down his bowls and tell him to “go get it.”  He gets very excited when you ask him if he wants to go outside. He’ll follow you if you say “Come on, boy.”

He knows “off” means to get off the furniture, but can’t resist using it as a trampoline when he hops off!  “Tyson, go home” means he needs to go into his crate for bedtime, and at this point, he’ll just go in on his own without complaint and without you having to say it.

He’ll entertain you for sure, because he has personality for days. Tyson will find something to talk about in any situation. We suspect there’s a tweety bird living inside him, but that’s part of his charm.

He does need his pack and doesn’t like being left out of the fun. He would do best with a playful and patient doggie friend, and in a family that will include him in activities often.

Give him time to adjust and you will fall in love with this growing cuddle bug. You’ll feel it the first time he rests his head by yours or lays by your feet -- pink, freckled tummy up.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
