Meet Rufus! He is a sweet boy that really wants to be loved. Born approximately Feb. 2017, Rufus has lovely badger markings and a stumpy little tail! An ideal weight for Rufus is about 65-70 pounds.
Rufus is playful and happy, but still a bit unsure. A reassuring scratch behind his ear helps a lot! He gets along with dogs of all sizes, at least female ones, but hasn’t been cat tested. He would like nothing better than to climb up next to you on the couch or bed for some pets and snuggles!
Found as a stray, Rufus is not very fond of walking on a leash, but he’s getting better at it. He’s also not a fan of riding in the car and will voice his displeasure. However, he eventually settles down, especially if he can be touching you.
He is completely vetted, heartworm negative, and ready to find his fur-ever family!
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
