Meet Tony!  An ideal family dog, he was born around July 2018.  This calm, cool, collected boy is on the smaller side at 76 pounds, and he is at or near his ideal weight.
 
Tony is your BFF, your shadow!  Taking a full-body picture of him can be difficult, because he wants to right up to the camera!  Mostly, we have nose pictures of him.

Tony is a love bug.  He can be insistent for your attention, jumping up to give you hugs and kisses.  He will take a human over other dogs any time.   He will play with other dogs, but they are always second choice to his people.

He is great with young kids and toddlers.  He is very tolerant of them loving on him while he is laying down.  He wants to be their playmate and protector.

He likes playing in water.  He dreams of standing on a boat, his long fur blowing in the wind.  Beware, he is attracted to mud puddles!  He can be frequently seen wearing “black boots” (okay – black, muddy paws) after a rain storm.

Happily a city boy, Tony prefers being indoors rather than out, but he will be wherever you are.  He gladly participates in family outdoor activities, supervising your gardening and helping with your chores.

While Tony likes toys, he is more of a serious boy.  He does not chase birds in the yard, and he is not interested in the neighbor’s goats.  We think he would be fine with house cats.

Tony walks nicely on leash, and he is pet-door trained.  He is crate trained, and he enjoys walking into one on his own when he is ready for a nap.

He can be hesitant getting into a car, but that should subside after he gets more practice.  Once in the car, he rides happily and quietly.  Take caution though.  If not secured in the backseat, he will crawl onto the front console and put his nose to the windshield!

Tony is ready for his forever home.  He longs for at least one person to call his very own.
