Meet Tarben!  Born around November 2018, this loving pup is still growing into his adult size.  He currently weighs around 75 pounds and will likely be around 85 when all filled out.

While Tarben is at first shy with people who are new to him, he absolutely loves children.  He is extremely cautious around men, so they need to afford him a lot of patience as he learns to trust again.   After he knows you, he is very sweet, affectionate, and snuggly!  He loves to cuddle with you on the couch and bed.

He loves hugs!  He loves when you give him the signal that asks him to stand with his front paws on your shoulders so you can hug.  If you’re having a bad day, he gently lays his head in your lap.

He really enjoys hanging out with other dogs, playing tug and wrestling.  He needs a playful doggie companion in his forever home.  (You can adopt a canine playmate for him from us!) He does not want to be alone; he needs people or dogs around him at all times.

He would love to go to work with you every day!  He wants to be with an active family that includes him in their daily adventures.

Tarben loves going for walks and he is very good on leash.  He enjoys investigating smells along the way.  He knows commands for sit, down, left, right, go potty, walk nice, go inside, sit, come, heel, and more!

He is house trained and pet door trained.  He rides well in a car, laying in the back seat and sweetly laying his head on the console next to you.

He likes wading in pools, but he doesn’t want to go past his knees.

He is fine with cats and is used to living with them in the home.  He only sniffs them and leaves them alone.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
