OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/3aoG4Ia_9P0

Meet Rosie!  This happy, affectionate, submissive puppy was born around May 2019.  She is petite, weighing 33 pounds for now, and will likely be around 60 pounds when she is fully grown.

Rosie is the sweetest girl!  When you scratch or pet her head and ears, she just leans into you and melts like butter.  She is still learning not to jump on people when she is really happy to see them – she just loves them so much!  She is good with children and is nice to cats.

She enjoys the company of dogs and needs a dog companion to continue to teach her about proper dog etiquette. She does well with small and large dogs. She likes to vocalize and jump on them and lick their faces!  With smaller dogs, she can sometimes play quite rough.  With larger dogs that are bold and boisterous, she scares quite easily until she gets used to them.

If you don’t already have a suitable forever canine companion for her, adopt one from us!

She loves having a yard where she can run and play.  She sometimes gets the silly zoomies, sprinting around the yard with abandon!  She loves toys, cutely carrying them in her mouth like she has a wonderful prize.

Sweet Rosie is leash trained, crate trained, and rides nicely in a car.  She is generally quiet, only barking at people and animals on the other side of the fence, when playing with other dogs, and at things she is unsure of.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
