OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/3aoG4Ia_9P0
Meet Ollie! Born around December 2018, this sweetheart weighs around 82 pounds and will likely be around 95 pounds when he finishes filling out.
When we received him from the shelter, he quickly proved to be a well-adjusted, loving pup! He is super friendly toward people and is very cuddly.
He loves going for car rides and will drive, if you let him! He sweetly wants to be really close to you, putting his chin over your shoulder, and trying to get in the front seat.
Ollie is totally housebroken and is crate trained. He hasn’t yet had much practice walking on leash, but is already showing instinctive polite manners not to pull.
He is gets along quite easily with dogs of all sizes. He needs a large, playful doggie companion in his forever home. If you don’t already have one of those, adopt one from us!
He sometimes shows his silly side, happily playing with his squeaky toys and rolling on his back to show you his lovely belly.
He does great with house cats! He doesn’t bother them at all. He is even extremely quiet.
Ollie is ready to find his forever home where he can dote on his new loving family.
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
