You: “I’d love to have a Great Pyrenees, but I want one that is out of the puppy stage and pretty low maintenance.”
SPIN: “Have we got the perfect dog for you!”
Introducing Henrietta. Her foster mom calls her Lady Henrietta because she is so proper and well-behaved.
Henrietta is an absolutely gorgeous, calm, and regal beauty. She has medium-length white fur and beautiful brown eyes. Henrietta was born around September 2017, although, as you know, a lady never discusses her exact age. She is fully out of the puppy stage, but young enough to have a full life ahead of her.
Henrietta weighs 80 pounds and will most likely stay at this healthy weight. Ever the lady, Henrietta is fully house trained and crate trained, but she can also be trusted to roam free in the house. She will most likely choose a cool tile floor to lounge on.
Henrietta was picked up as a stray and spent over a month in a shelter. Now she is learning to live in a home with a family again and doing wonderfully. Currently she lives in a foster home with a family that has other dogs, cats, and kids. She gets along with all of them.
An ideal living situation for Henrietta would be a home with a small fenced backyard. She prefers the indoors and only goes outside to do her business, so a large place to roam is not necessary.
She does not really have any interest in going for walks in the neighborhood, however she does walk well on a leash in the home or backyard. She also loves going to the dog park and the pet store. Watch her play happily at a dog park! https://youtu.be/iJ_YWi3gnh4
Henrietta would do well in a home with other dogs but would also be happy as an only dog. She has played with male and female dogs smaller than her and she is gentle enough to be the biggest dog in her group.
Because of her very calm nature she could be ideal in a home with toddlers or with seniors. She does not jump and prefers lounging on cool tile floor and chewing on a bone or stuffed toy. Lady Henrietta loves rawhides and antlers to chew as well.
Henrietta gets nervous when riding in cars. She has a loud bark but does not bark frequently. She barks mostly to let you know that there is someone at the door or a strange noise outside. Because of this, an apartment would probably not be an ideal living situation for her.
Henrietta can’t wait to meet her forever family! She knows there is a Pyrfect family out there for her that can’t wait to have proper lady in their house.
This video shows and gentle and calm she is, even having just spent a month in the shelter. https://youtu.be/CMuFzXedqz0
