Meet Ava!  Born around December 2018, this calm, soulful girl weighs around 54 pounds currently, and will likely be 65-70 pounds when she finishes filling out.  Look into her soft, golden brown eyes, and you’ll fall madly in love!

Ava was found abandoned in a field with another dog who had already passed away.  Our sweet girl was emaciated, had a broken knee, and a gash in the hard pallet of her mouth.  Her survival was questionable.

This girl has spunk though!  She knows there’s a much better life waiting for her!  She had several surgeries and has healed completely.  She had six teeth removed, so her tongue slips out a tad when she’s tired.  She’s got an Elvis Presley smile that will crack you up!

Even though she still has a wee bit of a limp, that sure doesn’t slow her down when she’s in the mood to race around the yard or chase the other pups!  She needs a big, playful doggy companion in her forever home.  If you don’t already have one for her, you can also adopt a new buddy for her from us!

Ava is usually pretty laid back, but gets wound up and silly, flinging toys and prancing for her dinner, and does she ever love a treat!  

She is house trained, kennel trained, and does well on a leash.  She enjoys a ride, unfortunately, she gets a bit carsick.  She responds very well to general commands.  And she can spell - she knows “t-r-e-a-t!”

Ava has been through a terrible ordeal, yet has been a calm, trusting girl through it all.  She’s been a pleasure for her foster family to care for, and they know you’ll continue that love for her.

She’s looking for a trustworthy family to join her in spending long days swimming, laying by the pool, laying on the sunbathing deck, basking in the sun, enjoying life.  She would do best in a one-story home where she doesn’t have to go up and down many stairs.
