OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/3aoG4Ia_9P0
Meet Pearl! This beautiful, mellow puppy was born around May 2019. At four months of age, she weighed 30 pounds. When she is all grown up, her ideal weight will probably be around 90 pounds.
Little Pearl had a rough start in life - she was dumped on a country road and left to fend for herself. Luckily, a good Samaritan soon discovered her and took her to a shelter. She hasn’t allowed her scary beginnings to affect her loving spirit! She is laid back, sweet, and affectionate. She is a lap dog looking for cuddles!
She loves people and is gentle with children. In her foster home, she is very interactive with the 18-month old child, kissing him, following him around, and sweetly sitting beside him.
Pearl is a silly baby! She gets the puppy zooms and picks up crab apples in the backyard and races around with them! She is in that awkward big puppy stage where she can’t control her own legs and always trips if she gets running to fast with the other dogs. So cute!
She is a water dog! She loves playing with a running water hose, laying in a kiddie pool, and swimming in a pond!
She is wonderful with male and female dogs of all sizes. In her foster home, her best fur-buddies are 30, 65, and 200 pounds! She plays gently and becomes scared when other dogs get too rough, bark too loudly, or are dominant (bossy). She would do best in a forever home where her canine friends are as tender as she is. If you don’t already have a companion dog for her, adopt one from us!
And she is docile with cats! She greets them, rolls on her back, lets them smell her, then follows them for a few minutes until they bore her.
Pearl has impeccable puppy manners. She is excelling at potty training and already knows how to sit. She is not much of a barker. She is crate trained and she is being leash trained.
She does awesome in a car, just peacefully lying in the back on a blanket.
Kid, dog and cat tested, Pearl will be the Pyr-fect addition to the right family!
