Meet Wyatt!  Born around January 2019, this docile puppy weighed about 46 pounds at nine months of age.  Sporting a smallish frame, he will likely be around 65-70 pounds when fully grown.

He came into rescue very shy, thin, malnourished, and his coat was in poor condition.  Since being in his foster home, he has received lots of love and good food.  His coat is coming back nicely, he is steadily gaining weight, and his confidence is building.

At his core, Wyatt is very sweet, low key, and reserved.  He is easy to have around, and always has a sweet smile for his person.

He is so calm and relaxed that when he plays with toys, he prefers to lay and chew on them rather than toss them around.

Wyatt really enjoys being outside, laying in the grass or snoozing on the porch.  He hopes for a forever home with a yard where he can breathe in fresh air.

He needs a doggy companion in his forever home.  He enjoys the company of dogs and is respectful when they don’t feel like playing.  He would be a good choice for someone whose current dog can be picky about their canine friends.  If you don’t already have a fur-buddy for him, adopt one from us!

Wyatt is leash trained, dog-door trained, rides nicely in a car, and is nice to house cats.  He is very quiet and submissive right now, so he doesn’t bark very much; this may change as he becomes more self-assured.

Wyatt would probably to best in a less active home where he can get lots of attention.  If children are in the home, he might do better with those who are calm, as loud noises and unexpected excitement may be a little too much for him at this point in his life.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
