Born around August 2017, she has filled in nicely to about 75 pounds.
When first arriving to her foster home from the shelter, Ariel was skinny, scared, full of fleas and ticks, and her coat was a matted mess. Still, she was already showing her sweet, happy, playful nature.
On bath day, she sat down and closed her eyes, seeming to say, “Thank you. I’m enjoying this.” She probably didn’t know what having water all over her body and getting cleaned up felt like before that moment.
Ariel follows her favorite human everywhere in the house. She is like Velcro! Literally every step you take, she will take. She craves lots of petting and love.
She is very playful! She loves chewing toys. She loves playing with her foster canine friends and really enjoys their company. She has the energy of a puppy and needs adequate amounts of activity to keep her from getting bored. She wants a big yard where she can run circles!
Ariel is house trained, doggie door trained, and crate trained. At night, she loves sleeping in the same room as her humans and does not need to be crated at that time. She walks very nicely on leash, and she likes riding in a car.
She barks at strangers who dare to walk by the house, and sometimes barks at her own reflection!
If you want to spoil her a bit, she would love for you to mix her kibble with sweet potatoes, eggs, and salmon!
