OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.

Hey humans, my name is Newton, and I'm kind of a big deal around my foster family's home! You see, when SPIN rescued me, I was hurt and ill and so miserable. My new foster parents brought me to their home and gave me delicious food and a warm bed which I had never had before!
Just hours into this new blissful life, I came down with Parvo and the doctors didn't think I would make it. Welp, they were wrong! I wanted to live so badly and I wanted to get back into that nice warm bed and play with all the toys my mom got me!
So, here's the deal. My mom tells me every day that I'm the cutest and funniest and most well-behaved puppy she's ever fostered. I'm not sure if that's what she tells everyone or just me, but she does let me sleep next to her at night, so I think she loves me.
I am potty trained, crate trained, and love car rides. Not a huge fan of leashes, but luckily, I don't have to use them often. I'm still learning the ropes on what things are approved chewing materials but I want so, so, so badly to make my foster parents happy, so I'm trying hard to be on my bestest behavior.
Before I go, mom wants me to let you know that I love cuddles and that I sleep on my back with all paws in the air. Not really sure why she thinks that's important; I just think it's comfortable and that you, too, should try it! Wanna try it with me? I'll teach you!
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
