1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.

Meet Gatsby! This cute fluffball was born around March 2019, and he is huge! Already 40 pounds at four months of age, he will likely be over 100 pounds as an adult.
Baby Gatsby was found as a stray. Initially afraid of what was to come after being rescued, he is finally letting his personality shine.
He is a wonderful, happy boy! He loves his new, big, canine foster friends, and he cozies up to the biggest of them, maybe realizing he’ll be that big one day. He wants to be their best friend, and he is adept at charming even the grumpy ones!
He is learning that there are lots of interesting things on the counter; he likes to whisk them away for chewing and inspection!
He needs a little more work on his leash training to perfect his walking manners. Just a little more practice, and he’ll be great.
He is fully house trained, and has no need for a crate. He really, really hates being confined! He will yell and cry to get out.
In his forever home, he must have a big, playful doggy companion to show him how to be a properly behaved doggy. If you don’t already have a furry play buddy for him, adopt one from us! He also needs a human who is home a lot to guide and teach him how to be a nice house dog.
His foster mom is working on getting pictures of him all cleaned up. She swears he doesn't have the “self-cleaning” fur that all other Pyrs have!
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
