Meet Caroline!  Born around September 2018, this laid-back sweetie pie had a rough start in life.  Several months prior to rescue, she was hit by a car.  She came to us malnourished, emaciated, and with a broken leg.  Her leg required surgery, and she is still recovering.  While the leg will probably never be 100%, she is getting better every day.

A tiny princess, she only weighed about 45 pounds at one year of age.  She is putting on weight, and will probably be about 60-65 pounds when she fills out - still very small for a Pyr!

What isn't small about Caroline is her personality.  She is very loving and sweet, and prefers to bury her nose in your side rather than licking your face. She would like nothing more than to spend the entire day on the couch, preferably with her face in someone's lap.

She is calm for a Pyr her age, and gets along great with other dogs and even with cats.

She is okay on a leash and doesn't mind walking on a leash - she just has a tendency to play "trip the human!"

She is fully crate trained, and like a lot of dogs who have had a rough start in life, she enjoys her crate as a refuge and safe space.  If she is locked in her crate and wants out, she can be crafty - she knows how to bust out of it when she really wants to!  She is well-behaved enough to sleep out of her crate at night.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
