OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/3aoG4Ia_9P0

Meet Nevada!  Born around April 2019, this silly, joyful pup will likely weigh around 90 pounds when he is all grown up.

When Nevada came from the shelter, he was about three months old and much, much too small for his age at a wee five pounds.  His tiny paws were furless, raw, and sensitive.

As soon as he got to his foster home, he showed his happy side with the best smile ever!  After a couple of months recuperating, he is still happy and up to his normal, expected weight.

Baby Nevada loves interacting with people.   He is definitely a Velcro Pyr and likes to be around his humans, following them from room to room.  He is awesome with children and toddlers including the 18-month old boy in his foster home.

He loves playing outside with male and female dogs of all sizes.  He needs an active dog in his forever home.  If you don’t already have a canine companion for him, adopt one from us!

When indoors, Nevada settles into his well-mannered, quiet mode, displaying the characteristics of a typical lazy Pyr.  He is a very quiet dog and only occasionally barks.

Nevada is house trained, leash trained, crate trained, and he rides nicely in a car.  He even enjoys being bathed!  And he is gentle and respectful with house cats.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
