Meet Sammy!  Watch his video to see how happy he is after his bath!  https://youtu.be/O9Zg-ESp-d8

This lovely, gentle boy was born around May 2017.  He is thin at 80 pounds and could nicely carry another ten.

Sammy has come such a long way during his foster stay!  Before being rescued, he spent his life on a chain.  He was in such poor shape, painfully skinny, and his coat was a mess.  One day he broke free, and his life has been incredibly better ever since!

He has proven to be a really mellow sweetheart.  He is really happy for all of the nutritious goodies bestowed upon him, and loved getting all cleaned up.  He is big into scratchies and getting attention.  He rubs his head into you for affection, and he leans into you to get as close as possible.

He is great with kids and is even nice to housecats!

He quickly made friends with the resident foster doggies.  In his forever home, he would be fine with or without another dog. He wasn’t very experienced in playing with them before he came into rescue, and it took him a few weeks to figure out that playing is fun!

Sammy eager to learn!  He is a smart cookie.  In foster care, he quickly learned to sit, shake, and lay down.  He is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained.  He willingly jumps into a car and rides well.

He needs a six-foot or taller fence; he is so athletic that he will jump anything shorter.

He is generally quiet in the house, and occasionally barks at things outside.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
