Meet Clifford!  This laid-back sweetheart was born on November 21, 2012.  He is a big boy, weighing 95 pounds.

Clifford started out as an outdoor dog, but he said he wants to be an indoor dog!  So here he is, looking for a new home where he can be with inside with his people.

This very sweet boy was ready for the easy life.  In his foster home, he adapted very quickly to the indoor life of luxury!  He loves laying on soft, cushy dog beds and cool tile floors.

He was extremely matted and filthy upon coming into rescue.  After a thorough bath and a close shave, he is feeling much better!  He is well on his way to again becoming the gorgeous dog he was meant to be.

He is cautious and reserved upon meeting new people.  After he knows you, he lovingly melts right into your arms.  He is a calm, quiet presence, a solid, steady companion.

When he is outside, he is very alert, intent on providing you the best protection possible.  He takes his job very seriously.  He is always sure to check the yard perimeter before bedtime.  He has the loveliest, big, deep baritone bark when he warns something away.

When he is inside (where he prefers to be), he “hits his off switch,” becoming very chill and relaxed.  He doesn’t demand attention, but he is very happy to be loved on.

Clifford is a very well-behaved gentleman in the house.  He is house trained, pet-door trained, and leash trained.  He sometimes likes resting in his crate.  So far, he hasn’t been interested in getting on any furniture.  This ever-vigilant guarding likes sleeping where he can see all doors in the house.

He is fine with other dogs in the house, but he doesn’t play with them.  He is like the serious older brother of the household, getting a little vocal when the younger whipper-snappers bother him too much.

This boy will be a wonderful addition to any family.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
