OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/3aoG4Ia_9P0

Meet Riley!  Born around December 2018, this classic beauty will likely be around 80 pounds when she’s fully grown.

This is your “go” dog!  She loves going everywhere and meeting everyone she can.  She is up for any adventure, and would love to be with a family that takes her to many places.  She is very inquisitive and loves exploring.

She is everyone’s best friend.  When meeting new people, she nudges them for attention.  She will throw herself down so you can scratch her lovely belly.

This sweetheart likes to be held like a baby!  She wants to be your bed buddy and snuggle with you at bedtime.  You will often find her curled into the corner of a couch.  Her favorite place to be is as close to you as possible.

She is good with children, and climbs into their laps.  We recommend that kids in her forever home be older than toddlers, so she won’t accidentally knock them over or purposely steal their food!

And she is partial to men with beards!  She loves them and finds them fascinating.

In her forever home, she needs a playful furry sibling that is big enough and energetic enough to play with her safely.  She gets along nicely with other dogs.

She loves picking up things in the house and trotting off with them in her happy-go-lucky way.
She enjoys being bathed!  And she likes digging in the water bowl.  She just might be your water sports buddy, or at least enjoy frolicking in a creek or pond.

She is leash trained and she is a strong walker.  She likes to go, go, go.  She relishes meeting new people along the way!  She politely introduces you to everyone you have yet to meet, and she joyfully welcomes your friends as her own.

Riley is house trained and pet door trained.  She happily sleeps in her crate at night rests in it periodically throughout the day.  She rides nicely in a car.

She is usually quiet, only barking when something makes her wary.

She is very cat-friendly and is even nice to house bunnies!

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
