Meet Foster! This sweet, silly boy with a wonderful disposition was born around February 2018. He is still growing at 89 pounds, and will likely top out at 100 pounds when he is finished growing.
He is a very social boy with a very friendly soul. He loves meeting as many people as possible and soaking up all the attention they will give.
He has the Pyr-paw down to an art. He comes up to you, leans his head into you, and gives the paw for attention. He even Pyr-paws dogs he wants play with. Nobody is safe from the paw! When he wants his haunches scratched, he backs up to you so you have easy access. He is very good at communicating what he wants.
Foster would do best if he has a doggy playmate in his forever home. He will play with any dog that wants to play with him - any size will do. He instinctively plays size-appropriately. He plays cutely and gently with young puppies and small dogs, and he plays rough-and-tumble with big dogs.
He loves toys! He relishes in destuffing them. His favorite are rope toys, so he can play tug with his dog buddies. He will swing it so that it bumps his playmate and entices them to play!
Foster loves bouncing and romping through rain and puddles! He would probably love wading into creeks and ponds when out on your walks and other adventures.
He is leash trained and is very eager to meet any dog he sees along the way. He likes a medium pace, going where he wants, sniffing, then hurrying to the next aromatic sniff spot.
He likes riding in a car, usually resting quietly and happily with his head or paws on the middle console, then laying down to sleep.
Foster is house trained and pet-door trained. He stays willingly within the five-foot fence around his foster home. He doesn’t mind storms unless they are severe, then he needs to be wherever you are. He is normally very quiet, only barking to alert you to something.
