Meet Izzy! This sweet, laid-back girl with the sad eyes was born around June 2013. She is really big, weighing a solid 100 pounds!
Life was pretty rough for Izzy before coming into rescue. She was a stray and must have been on her own for quite a while. She was exhausted, under-weight, had heavily matted fur, patches of missing fur, skin issues, and scars from chronic ear infections.
In foster care, she got plenty of groceries, medication, and lots of love. She is quickly bouncing back to her healthy, happy self! She had to be shaved because of her mats and skin issues, but her fur is growing back nicely. We love watching her transform into a huge fluffball of gorgeousness!
Her personality is starting to shine, and she is a lover! She is a little goofy, sometimes playing with her people. She loves hopping around the house when you fake-chase her!
She's an aficionado of big plushy beds, and she prefers being indoors rather than outdoors. She isn’t much interested in toys.
Izzy is nice to dogs that are nice to her. In foster care, she allows a small-breed puppy to crawl on her, and she plays gently with the big-breed puppy.
She is house trained, is very good on leash, and rides well in a car. She is willing to go on short walks.
If you’re looking for a low energy, easy-care companion that’s content to have you brush and pet her for hours, Izzy is your girl!
