Meet Kenny!  Watch his video!  https://youtu.be/fZkEMyPKFHw

This sweetheart is thin at a whopping 102 pounds!  He was born around February 2014.

Kenny came into rescue after being hit by a car.  He was skin-and-bones and exhausted. The accident left him with a permanent limp and some nerve damage.  We had to shave his coat, because it was so matted.  He has adjusted to his injuries and his coat is growing back nicely.  He is now a healthy, happy boy!  He really likes his new life of luxury.

He is so quiet and easy to have around.  He loves being around his people and getting hugs.  He affectionately buries his head right into you.  He does everything he can to make you happy.

During summer months, you will find Kenny indoors on his bed in front of a fan!  He will probably be sleeping with his favorite plushy toy – he adorably likes to cuddle with it rather than play with it.

While he doesn’t play with other dogs, he seems to enjoy having other smaller doggy companions in the house. He wants to be the only big dog.

Kenny is leash trained, and he likes to go on short walks.  He rides fine in a car, although you’ll need to keep a drool towel handy!

One of his legs is especially wobbly, so he doesn’t always have perfect balance, and he can get knocked over easily.  His people need to be very careful around him.

Kenny needs a calm, patient forever family.  Because of his nerve damage, he only knows urgently when he has to go potty – meaning he needs to go out at that moment.  A home with a doggy door would be ideal; alternatively, he needs to be walked short distances several times a day so he can do his business then.

He is ready to love someone forever!

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
