OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:

    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/3aoG4Ia_9P0

Meet Walker!  This pup is shy, laid back, and very sweet.  He was born around July 2018.  At six months old, he was 66 pounds, and will likely be around 90 pounds when he’s fully grown.

He has a slender, sleek build and a long, smooth, flowy coat.  He has gorgeous hints of cream badger markings with flecks of charcoal on his ears and tail.

Walker really likes people.  He prefers if you let him approach you first, then he is right there to enjoy some affection.

He is playful with other dogs.  He likes to jump and bounce and run through the yard with them.  He is not one for wrestling.  He is even nice when little puppies pester him.  He takes on the role of tender-hearted, big brother protector.

He acts more mature than most puppies his age.  His adult-like in his behavior could be because he had to grow up fast, protecting his “baby” brother Herbert who is actually about six weeks younger than he is.

He needs a doggy companion in his forever home, and his first pick would be Herbert who is also available for adoption!  If you are looking for two dogs to adopt, he and Herbert get along beautifully!  They came into rescue together, and seem to have been together for a while before that.

Walker is a talker!  He gives a few sporadic barks when he perceives a threat.  He seems to be telling the pack, “I’ve got this covered.”  And he seems to be telling the interloper, “Don’t even think about coming over here to bother my humans, my friends, or my home!”

He sometimes entertains himself with toys.  He picks one up, drops it, picks it up again, and tosses it around in excitement!  He just jumps around having a ball!

He is house trained with a pet door.  He needs a little more practice with his leash training.  He rides quietly in a car, just laying down calmly.

Sweet Walker will be a wonderful dog for a very lucky family.
