OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/3aoG4Ia_9P0
Meet Ava! She is a beauty queen with long, wavy hair and big, lovely paws. Born around May 2018, she’ll likely be around 85 pounds when she’s all grown up.
Ava is a sweet, loving girl. She is a happy, very easy-going puppy. Her favorite thing is to gently cuddle with her humans, being loved on, cuddled, and having her belly rubbed. She likes to give you kisses. She is also great with kids! She is all sweet puppiness.
She loves lying in the middle of the cool grass and looking like a big girl, watching out for possible intruders.
Ava loves having doggy playmates, and she needs one in her forever home. She loves playing with her foster brothers and can definitely hold her own and stand up to them. She copies the bigger boy dogs. She has learned a lot from them - she follows their lead, their manners. She will continue to thrive with an adult dog to mentor her.
She is sweet and friendly when meeting new dogs in the neighborhood. Has natural curiosity with the pet bunnies in her house, and she has always been gentle with them. So we think she would be fine with house cats also.
This sweet pumpkin is house trained, crate trained, and is good on leash. She is a little anxious about riding in a car, so it’s best if she’s in a crate for the ride or if another person is there to help reassure her. She likes playing with toys, especially ones she can chew.
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
