OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/3aoG4Ia_9P0

Meet Rex!  He is sweet and loving and wants to be loved.  Born around April 2018, he’ll probably reach around 85 pounds when he’s full grown.

Rex is a handsome boy.  He sometimes gets called “Sexy Rexy” for his beautiful, thick, wavy fur with red patches. He is a little unsure about new people and needs time to warm up.  After he gets to know you, he will soak up all the attention you care to give!  He especially loves a good ear rub or belly rub.  At the same time, he does not beg for attention.

Rex has a normal amount of energy for a toddler dog.  He likes spending lots of time outside with his furry foster brothers playing chase, wrestling, chasing squirrels, and, lounging.  He loves guarding the house and property from everything and everyone.

He needs lots of outdoor space where he can run and play and expend his puppy energy!   He loves having a steady stream of new, exciting, durable toys.

Rex loves treats and has learned to sit.  He will go in crate, but really has no need for one since he is fully house trained.

He is fabulous on leash!  He walks beside you, looks up to check on you, and doesn’t pull at all.  He would be a dream partner for a runner/walker.

He is the perfect car traveler!  He looks out window for a bit, then curls up and naps.

He likes wading in water, but he’s not one for getting in past his knees.

We expect he would be fine with house cats, because he has been good with house bunnies.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
