Meet Adelaide!  Watch her video!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9z5c242FxY

Right now she is a little thin and working on growing back into her big paws.  We think her ideal weight is about 85 pounds.  She was born around June 2016.

Adelaide is sweet and calm.  She loves being petted and loved on by humans, and she is good with kids.  She will follow around and give you the Pyr Paw to request some love and attention.  She is very polite and respectful to guests in the home.

She is flourishing into the playful girl she wants to be.  She loves playing with dogs of all sizes, but sometimes her Pyr paw is too much for the smaller ones.  The pack in her foster home helped renew her spirit.  She is still a little timid about life, so a fur sibling will help maintain her confidence and sense of safety.

She is house trained and doggy-door trained.  She walks nicely on leash.  She does okay riding in a car, and gets more comfortable with each trip.  She has conquered her fear of stairs and now joins the family on their trips up and down.

She needs a good, sturdy fence in her forever home.  As she recuperates from her life before rescue, she keeps getting stronger and more athletic!

When she becomes comfortable in her new home, she will start using her voice.  And she loves to use it!  Barking at anything that appears threatening, and happy to be in charge of her yard.  As with most Pyrs, you might want to keep her from being able to see outside at night, or she will let you know about every bunny that crosses the yard!

Adelaide is ready for a forever home where she knows she is safe, cared for, and loved.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
