Meet Remy! This handsome hunk of love was born around 5/25/2015. He is a big one! Right now he’s skinny at 105 pounds, and he’s getting to his ideal weight of about 120 pounds!
He has a lot of love to give. He has a very sweet nature and is usually very calm. He loves to be with people, and he warmly greets guests you invite into your home. He is very friendly with kids - he stands quietly face-to-face with them, letting them pet him and talk to him.
Remy loves to come to you, put his big head against you, lean in, and then just be very still – a Remy hug. He enjoys being combed, brushed, petted, and getting belly rubs. He likes sitting on the porch with his humans and canine buddies and watching people go by.
He has quickly learned the joys of indoor living, and especially enjoys lying under or in front of a fan. He really appreciates basking in the comforts of home!
He adores walking to the park with you every day. He also likes to run and play Frisbee and chase balls. He hopes that his forever home will have lots of room for him to play indoors and out.
He sometimes is very playful and silly! He’ll go zooming up and down the hall. And he loves to play peek-a-boo with you around corners! He likes stuffed animals and chew toys.
Remy gets along great with other dogs. He really loves his big furry foster sister. They play well together and have regular gentle wrestling matches. He is friendly with dogs his meets on walks as well. He needs a constant canine companion, because he doesn’t like to be all by himself.
The only cats he has encountered have been outside; when he sees one, they both make a beeline for the fence! This could mean that he will chase felines that live in the house.
He doesn’t bark very much – just when he’s in the house and wants to warn you about an outside noise or sees someone walk by the window.
Remy is house trained, leash trained, and rides nicely in a car. And if you like taking photos of your pets, he is a natural model. He is always camera ready, and the camera loves him!
He is best suited for a sweet family who will be very gentle with him and will play and be active with him.
