Meet Dumas! He was born around 4/14/2014. He is a noble gentleman, just like his namesake Alexandre Dumas, who wrote “The Three Musketeers.” He’s a smaller fellow at 77 pounds.
Dumas is such a joy to have in the home. He is so low-key, you might not even realize he’s there! He is a mellow guy who has no need for toys or silly shenanigans.
He loves meeting new people and he adores them all! He makes such a great impression, that everyone loves him back! He enjoys sitting for their admiration and affection. And he’s not even pushy about it – he doesn’t insist with a Pyr paw!
He is the perfect dog to take to retirement centers as a therapy dog, or to schools and libraries for reading to kids.
Sir Dumas is the center of attention at parties – indoors and out. He makes sure to greet everyone properly. If there are other dogs there, he is polite to them also.
He prefers people to dogs. He would be fine as your only dog as long has he gets to be with you a lot. He could live with other dogs as long as they are sweet and calm like he is.
Mr. Perfect is house trained, leash trained, and rides nicely in a car. He’s on the quiet side, and doesn’t bark much. He does not get on furniture, does not chew anything in the house, and has no need for a crate.
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
