Meet Kona!  This sweet, goofy girl was born around February 2016.  She is tall and fit at 95 pounds!

She is really sweet with people – adults and kids alike.  She rewards your attention with a smile and a wag of her big, fluffy tail.  Then she’ll roll onto her back and let you pedal her back paws!

She requires an alpha two-legged leader – one who is kind and patient, yet firm – a benevolent leader to guide her and remind her of polite behavior when she forgets her manners.

Kona needs to be an only dog, as she can become overly excited and go after other dogs in the house.  She has some separation anxiety when left alone, so she needs to be crated when you leave the house.  She is not a dog that you would take to a dog park or have friends and family bring their dogs over for play dates.

She runs like the wind when she gets charged up!   She wants a big yard where she has lots of room to play.

Miss Kona is house trained, leash trained, and she is nice to housecats.  She knows the “wait” command.  She doesn’t bark often, but when she does, it is very big, deep, and impressive!

She is available for adoption exclusively to homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
