Meet Caterina, The Pyr Paw Master!  This sweet, quiet, silly beauty was born around 3/2/2015.  She’s a big one, and will soon fill out to her ideal 100 pounds!

She is super affectionate with her people, and she gives the best hugs!  She runs in joyful circles every time you get home!  She often gives you her paw to tell you that she’s ready for more petting, please.  She allows small children to hug her while she sleeps.  She is very gentle and takes treats softly.  

During cooler weather, Caterina adores napping outside for hours under beautiful flowers while listening to a water fountain.  As the days get warmer, she prefers lounging inside with air-conditioning.  Her main interests are loving her people and napping in comfort.

She gets along great with other dogs, and she licks her foster fur siblings with so much happiness!   She needs at least one doggie companion in her forever home to keep her occupied and socialized.  

Caterina has alpha (bossy) tendencies, so she needs alpha human parents who can maintain her as a subordinate in the pack; otherwise, she’ll try to run the entire household!  Just a few firm, kind words will remind her that she is subservient to you.

The Pyr Paw Master is house trained, doggie-door trained, crate trained, and stair trained!   She rides nicely in a car.

She is leash trained and loves her daily walks.  She purely enjoys a leisurely pace, unless she sees a squirrel, then it’s game on!  Foster mom is teaching Caterina that she can’t bolt after little critters when on leash.

She doesn’t get too excited about bath time, but she complies and lies on her belly while getting shampooed and washed.

If you want to return her amazing affection for you, you can pamper with sweet potatoes, sardines, and brown rice with her kibble and Frosty Paws ice cream for dessert!

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
