Meet Sarah! This mellow sweetheart was born around 6/16/2016. She is already a big girl at 86 pounds, and she’ll fill out a little more in the next few months.
Sarah has such a soothing personality; she might be a fabulous therapy dog.
She is excited to meet new people, but she is not pushy about it. She uses her nose (rather than her paw) to get your attention by softly pushing up your hand or gently nudging your leg.
She would fine as an only dog, because all she really wants is lots of human interaction. Sarah gets along nicely with other dogs and can be placed in a home that already has dogs, but she’s not too interested in playing with them.
This calm girl is house trained and leash trained. She does well in the car. She isn’t interested in climbing fences, and will do fine with a four-foot fence. She’s not much of a barker.
We don’t know how she is with cats, but we can find out if needed. She could be fine in an apartment if it has outside access so she can bask in the cool air.
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
