Meet Ames! This gorgeous boy was born around 12/1/2016. He is a very cuddly and loving young man! He is also super smart, playful, and goofy.
He is a good-natured, sweet dog who loves to follow his humans around the house and get cuddles from them.
Sweet Ames is on the smaller side for a Great Pyrenees. His weight will probably be around 80 pounds when he’s full grown in another year. So if you love Great Pyrenees but think they’re too big, Ames could be perfect for you!
He likes to play with the dogs in his foster home. Because he is still in his toddler stage, he would do best with a youthful, playful, female canine companion in his forever home. It’s possible he would do fine as an only dog, as long as his people play with him a lot, keep him engaged, spend a lot of time with him. He might not do well if left all alone for long periods of time.
Little Ames does really well on leash. He is crate trained; he goes in when asked, and sleeps in it at night. He is house trained, sits on command, and rides nicely in a car. He likes to show his protective side by barking in the house or yard when dogs or people go by.
He is curious with cats in the house; he would love for them to play with him. He’s not one to just pass by a feline without giving it an investigative sniff.
He is great with kids. However, since he still likes to nibble when playing, any children in his new home should be older than toddlers.
This charming, adorable pup could be yours!
