Meet Cotulla!  She is a living doll!  She was born around 11/11/2011, and is a bit thin at 83 pounds.  She is a big girl!   She has a calm demeanor, and a medium to low energy.

She was found as a stray, taken to a shelter, and then landed in her foster home where she immediately won the hearts of her temporary guardians.

Cotulla is named for the small town of Cotulla, Texas, located a few miles north of Laredo.  She is unique; so we wanted a unique and feminine name that would stand out in the crowd, because she truly takes center stage wherever she goes.

Our Cotulla emulates the spirit of Texas - she is friendly, cooperative, affectionate, and easy going. She greets everyone and seems to truly enjoy people.  She is wonderful with children and adults.

Sweet Cotulla is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and rides nicely in a car.  She even knows hand signals for “sit” and “down.”

She is excited to be in her foster home, so she pulls a bit on the leash to quickly see all of the new intriguing things.  The pulling will likely be resolved in the next few days after foster mom takes her on additional nice, long walks.  She is not reactive to other dogs she passes on leash, even when they bark at her, so the walks will be enjoyable for everyone.

She really has no need for a crate, because she can be trusted alone in the house.

She gets along nicely with the dogs in her foster home, so she can go to a new home that has dogs.  However, she would also do well as an only dog, since she loves people so much.  She loves attention from humans and seeks it out by adorably bumping her head under your hand.

She does not seem interested in cats, so we expect that she can live peacefully with them in the house.

Cotulla will make a great companion for someone who takes her on daily walks and on frequent trips in the car to see new places and new faces.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
